Harvey Arden, author and editor along with Rob Fife, who is Nez Perce/Cayuse and one of the organizers of the November 5 Circle of Clemency event, will join us on the Talking Feather Radio Show. We will talk about Leonard Peltier-the man-who is a writer, artist, human rights advocate and 2007 Nobel Peace Prize nominee. Rob Fife will share information about The CIRCLE OF CLEMENCY event which is a group of Leonard Peltier supporters who will be making themselves seen and heard on November 5th in Washington, DC. People will gather in front of the White House and there will be a procession to the Department of the Interior Building. Supporters of Leonard feel that "Now is the time to stand UP and be strong for Leonard Peltier and all of our peoples." This is about dignity, justice, freedom. This is s ONE DAY event to help free a man who has been in prison for 34 YEARS. Harvey Arden has been instrumental in assisting Leonard in getting his writings edited, distributed and heard around the world. Harvey will share personal stories about Leonard and read passages from Leonard Peltier's book, "Prison Writings: My Life is My Sun Dance."

In the Studio, my guest is STEPHANIE ALSTON-NERO, a poet-healer and certified energy medicine practitioner in private practice in Harlem and Stone Feather Retreat in the Catskill Mountains. Our topic focuses on how to tap into our creative energy and how to channel it through our writing practice. In her mission to relieve pain and suffering, she teaches EFT energy medicine to visiting nurses and hospice workers at VNS/NY. She also facilitates ongoing healing workshops nationally and abroad and is a member of Sisters of Honua, a global circle of healers and WisdomKeepers of many traditions. Join us as we talk with Ruby Gibson about Somatic Archaeology, a therapy technique developed by Ruby, that helps people dig deep inside themselves, excavate the stories of life experiences and help bring about balance and wholeness. She has a Masters Degree in Theology with a Special Emphasis in Transformational Psychology, and passionately brings her unique perspective to her current doctoral research and studies at Holos University. As a certified somatic therapist and licensed massage therapist, Ruby has worked with children and adults for thirty years, specializing in intergenerational recovery from trauma, abuse, injury, addictions, PTSD, and chronic pain. Ruby is a somatic pioneer who bridges bodywork, transpersonal psychology, human behavior, neurobiology, and spirituality along with Somatic Archaeology™. A national educator for twenty-five years, she teaches professional certification programs in Somatic Archaeology™, along with workshops in Earth centered healing and aromatherapy. Ruby is a poet and freelance writer, and owner of Howling at the Moon Productions located in the foothills of Colorado. She has written a book called My Body, My Earth: The Practice of Somatic Archaeology. Previous books include the novel,Home is the Heart (Bear & Co 1989) and The Heartbeat of Mother Earth (currently being reviewed for publication) which highlights 30 Indigenous Elders and Wisdomkeepers from around the world.
